Level 4 Diploma in Relational Therapeutic Counselling

 

Launching November 2026, this foundational diploma offers in-depth, clinically robust training in relational therapeutic counselling. Participants will develop an embodied, relationally attuned presence for working with human pain and suffering, including developmental trauma.

What You’ll Do and Learn 

The programme integrates Western clinical approaches with non-Western perspectives on community and collective healing, honouring our shared humanness and our capacity for presence in the face of the full human experience.

Training approach (delivery mix):

  • Weekend in-person teaching
  • Online components (to support learning between weekends)

Key development areas include:

  • Developing an embodied, relationally attuned therapeutic presence
  • Working skilfully with human pain and suffering
  • Understanding and responding to developmental trauma in a relational framework
  • Integrating clinical practice with perspectives on collective and community healing

On successful completion, graduates will receive a Level 4 Counselling Certificate, aligned with eligibility for membership of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a key professional benchmark in the UK.

The diploma will:

  • Stand alone as a comprehensive foundation in relational therapeutic counselling
  • Provide a strong base for those who may wish to progress into NARM® Therapist Training
